    Hey everyone,

I am currently working on SimpleBB by myself which is a very lightweight, simple forum software I decided to make and I am wanting to hear from everyone what you would like to see in a new software.

Please keep in mind that I am going for simple.

That will definitely be key. I am aiming for as little files as possible for fast uploading, upgrading and space used.

An easy and simple ACP would do wonders for me. And as Jason said, I'd love that!

An easy and simple ACP would be fantastic. Add that into XF's forum style and it's perfect.

Should add a goodbye-spammer as a default option.

To be honest i don't want to see any new software. I am very pleased with XF and hope all the others will take some inspiration and move into the XXI century, too. Most are so clunky and 'old' and need to provide a better script, more modern and easier to use. While XF is not perfect, it has blown me away.

Regardless of my project I completely agree in terms of a new major forum software solution. XenForo is awesome and many others just need to get their code up to date.

Easier modification installations? I have no idea how that could be done, really, so my suggestion might be invalid. Yet codes are problems for so many people so any way to help us to customize our forum without having to deal with too much codes is definitely a big plus. ^^

Simplicity would be the biggest thing.

Having some type of integration where users can browse and install themes & plugins directly from the ACP would be awesome.
